Executive Lifestyle only looks good in the movies

Last weeks seem to me passing by like rockets in the midle East.

The pace is tremendous and days strectch to nights and nights to early dawn mournings getting along with one-day-go-return from one geographical place to another. Crisis, Economic Downturn, Lay-off, Growth, Recession, Budget, Rolling Forecast Quarter, PDA, New-Old faces, neverending business work-talks, snack-food alimentation, rush-hour, deadlines, motivation, reestructuring, organization, agenda, paralel & perpendicular work-groups, emails (LOTS), the information flux seems like feeds on it self. It´s not completely exausting (for now at least) , but bit by bit it starts to eat you and you tend to transform your working week into a "normal" 24/5 working assumption. It´s dangerous!
Sometimes I look around and notice (this is not new) that there are a lot of so called workaholics. In fact, some of them are not workaholics, cause their work and/or social lifes tend to be the same. Work had a M&A with Life a long time ago for some. The Corporate is God.
Even at eating time, they are sharing it with collegues, which they tend to treat as friends as well as employees. In a way I can understand that if you get too acostumed that everybody kisses your ass, or is "under" your supervision or dependency, it can get into your head easy, and then you just start to act like a f%&cking Sun King that tends to treat both family and workers with the same MBA case-study skills. It´s dangerous!

Anyway, I´m not the case. But in my working context I tend to see it a lot. And I don´t envy it at all. But you sure learn a lot about how the System works, its faults and virtudes, and in this case him writting about, some lifestyles.

Well, at least for the record: Learning is dangerouslly sexy. Always.
